Design and manufacturing of set design for the results of a multifaceted research project and a site-specific installation in the woods
Invited by Studio Folder, curator of the section “Resilience from the Past” of the 25th Biennial of Design Ljubljana, we participated to the design and production of an exhibition system part of the main exhibition at MAO (Museum of Architecture and Design) and a bioacoustics installation in the Isonzo valley near Kobarid.
The aim of the exhibition design in the show was to connect various languages and representations techniques such as, projections, photos, maquettes, objects, maps etc. We conceived a big black “limbo”, a vertical and horizontal light unique surface that hold those elements. For the installation in Kobarid, we made an aluminium sustain for an environmental microphone. The structure have been thought as an open system able to be modified and adapted to three dimensions and geometry.
The limbo structure at the end of the exhibition will be dismantled and re-assembled at the autonomous social and cultural centre ROG in Lubiana inside the skatepark.
